    The new TULIPE probe

    The result of 10 years of research and development, the TULIPE probe is the first deformable and flexible probe that adapts to the shape of the vagina by opening delicately like the corolla of a tulip. Once compressed between the therapist's thumb and index finger, its size does not exceed that of a finger and it can be inserted without any risk of pinching soft tissues. For the first time, it is the probe that adapts to the anatomy of women and not the other way around!

    Patient comfort

    Anatomical adaptation by deformation, rounded edge and soft, supple material to the touch are all qualities which ensure an introduction which is always comfortable for the patient.

    The only probe that limits the sensation of cold on contact with the mucous membrane. The low thermal conductivity of the flexible plastic and the very low thickness of the electrodes limit thermal exchanges between the probe and the mucous membrane. The patient no longer feels a sensation of cold on introduction.

     The TULIPE probe is supplied with 2 clip-on retaining tabs which deform under light digital pressure before insertion and allow the probe to adapt to anatomical variations including significant vaginal gaps.

    After insertion, the elasticity of this probe allows it to return to its initial corolla shape. It is placed on the vagina and ensures perfect support in the position of use, particularly during dynamic rehabilitation in situations of increased symptoms (walking, jumping, running, etc.).

    The electrodes were placed on strategic anatomical areas (pubovaginal and levator ani) and it becomes possible to obtain selective stimulation or recording of these muscles.

    Comparison between the TULIPE probe and a classic probe

     Because it respects the anatomy of the vagina and the perineum, the TULIPE probe naturally takes its place and remains there (respecting the angulation of the vagina, positioning of the electrodes opposite the pubovaginal muscle (closing pressure) and the perineal domes (pressure absorption).

    A stimulation or an analytical BFB

     The TULIPE is the only probe that allows stimulation or analytical BFB:

    • deep perineum VS superficial perineum (one tonic and the other phasic)

    • right dome VS left dome (force asymmetry induced by asymmetric obstetric trauma or by a positional postural abnormality).

    The only probe whose elasticity allows proprioception to be reinforced by the lateral pressures that its deformable corolla exerts on the vaginal wall.

    Placement of electrodes next to the muscles

    The only probe that perfectly places the electrodes against the perineal domes, ensuring excellent stimulation and excellent BFB collection.

    When opening, the corolla pushes the latero-posterior faces of the vagina against the perineal domes. This direct contact on the muscles combined with the large surface area of ​​the electrodes allows for more comfortable and more effective stimulation*.
