Eligibility
This training is offered to physiotherapists, chiropractors, occupational therapists, physiotherapy technologists, and athletic therapists.
This course will help participants become familiar with the issues surrounding mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and with various therapeutic intervention approaches. It will also help familiarize participants with the interdisciplinary clinical assessment of mTBI using the most up-to-date scientific knowledge relating to care, management, and therapeutic interventions, particularly concerning the most common associated conditions found in mTBI (cervical problems, proprioceptive problems, and cognitive-motor deficits). The information taught will be based on current evidence.

Neurophysiopathology of mTBI
Epidemiology of mTBI
Clinical presentation and differential diagnosis
Clinical assessment: cognitive assessment, physical assessment (cervical and proprioceptive), cognitive-motor assessment
Post-concussion syndrome: how to manage complex cases, intervention/rehabilitation programs following mTBI, steps towards a return to school, work or sport, rehabilitation exercises, mTBI prevention principles, concept review and course feedback
Practical exercises and clinical vignettes
